Fun Fold Friday - Botanical Layers and Botanical Beauty

Hello again. As today is my last day for a week, I have gone to town! Using the Botanical Layers stamps, I stamped the four, large floral images several times in; Lemon Lolly, Calypso Coral, Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green and Bubble Bath! It took a LOT of fussy cutting out! I need a break from fussy cutting now!! :) Using the Botanical Beauty stamp, I stamped onto a white mat in a Boho Blue Ink pad. I also cut and embossed a white mat for the centre 2 half panels and the front.. The blue, I cut in half lengthwise and added to the inside of the card on the outer 2 edges and filled in with a piece of the embossed paper in the centres. I took 2 more pieces of Boho Blue card and cut them to 21 cm wide. 1 piece is 6.5 cm high and the other 10 cm high. The latter of which was cut to 10 cm wide. I added an extra 1 cm to each side for the ahesive to go on before cutting.

Then it was a case of adding the leaves and flowers all over the stands. By making a fold in the centre of each of the stands It will make it stand and fold into the centre easily. Now bear in mind this will not go as standard mail. It will have to large size letter of even hand delivered. Which I always prefer anyway. That was it basically. A simple sentiment on the front and the back completes my cards for this week.

A very plain and simple front opening onto a very busy inside.

I hope that you have found some ideas to hopefully inspire you to make your own cards this week. Cary will return on Monday with some more of her designs to share with you.

Until the following week when I return again, please take care, stay safe and

KEEP ON CRAFTING

This or That Thursday - Everlasting Beauty

Do you like to save money? We do. Today only Stampin' Up! are giving FREE SHIPPING on any order placed! Go on, spoil yourself!

Hello. Using the lilac flower from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set, today's 2 cards are both very similar. I stamped 2 of the flowers and coloured them in using my blends alcohol marker pens. 3 simple colours and they were, Fresh Freesia, light and dark, Highland Heather light and dark, Shaded Spruce light and dark. I started just adding little marks with the darker pens and then added the lighter shades afterwards.

Yes, I did fussy cut them out as always and layered them differently on the 2 card bases.

THIS

The first card is on a White card base and I made a Fresh Freesia mat which I scored at 0.5cm and 1cm al around the edges. The frame is a die cut from the Brilliant Backgrounds dies which I thinks makes a really lovely change to the card.

THAT
My second card or THAT card I have made on 1 of the Brushed Gold Card's and Envelope. These cards are stunning. The front and back of the cards and the envelope flap have a gorgeous gold pattern on. This card I die cut a mount from the Christmas Classics dies in a piece of gold card. I added simple sentiments onto both cards to complete them. I used Go To Greetings stamp set for the card sentiments on the front.

Please let me know which do you prefer?

This or That Thursday - Designer Series Paper - Go To Greetings and So Sincere

Today you get 2 for the price of one with the This and That projects. My first card is THIS, Thinking of You. I have used a piece of Night of Navy card base and some of Stargazing DSP on this one. I added some fussy cut planets from the papers too as without them the card would have been possibly usable as a different type of sentiment. A sad one! I used one of  my favourite greetings stamp sets on this, Go To Greetings. I love this set because there is only 5 phrases or sentiments but they are in lots of different sizes too. The best of both worlds in my opinion.

THAT

My THAT card is another card that used the Stargazing Designer Series Papers for only the difference is the stamp set that I used. So Sincere has some really great phrases or sentiments as you have possibly seen the earlier part of this week. This one is a standard upright C6 card but I have used 4 different pieces of DSP. I'm not one for using strips of paper but it was shouting for it to be done. From the gorgeous shades of pink paper with planets to the bright colours and the dark sky in the centre. I used another of the planets for this card which I think sets it off really well.

Fun Fold Friday - Backgrounds - Two-Tone Flora

Hello and thank you for joining me once again. This week I have been making backgrounds. Some are made using the whole, 1 piece stamp but for today's card I literally made a background of my own. I used the Two-Tone Flora stamp set and taking a whole sheet of A4 white card, I stamped each and every single stamp in a different colour, randomly all over the piece of A4.

I then cut the whole sheet into 4 pieces measuring 10cm by 14.4cm or 4" by 5,5/8"  I cut a piece of Berry Burst card in half as a book fold card base. I scored diagonally on the one side on my trimmer and burnished it well. I cut another single piece of card 10.5cm by 14.85cm or 4,1/8" by 5,7/8" and attached it to the outer folded side of the card base. It has now become an easel card.  This is slightly different in as much as the card is to be folded in half to close and post it as a C6 card. I used sentiments from 2 other stamp sets, these were Phrases For All and GoTo Greetings.

I was so pleased with it I made another but this one faces the other way and now both cards face each other.

Well that is it from me once agin for this week.  Cary has flown off to the USA, Vegas for a Stampin' Up! leaders meeting but fortunately made her cards in advance of going away. She will be letting you see her projects throughout the week as usual.

I will be back the week after next so as always, take care, stay safe but most of all.....

KEEP ON CRAFTING!

Fun Fold Friday - Coffee With Friends

Well, here we are already and it's Friday today! For my last card this week, I have done what I believe is called a triple accordion card. I have seen so many of them over the years but never actually made one myself... until today! Using the Coffee With Friends stamp set, Go To Greetings and Charming Sentiments stamp sets, I have made my own version of one. I used the gorgeous new cardstock colour of Bubble Bath and the patterned paper I chose has a Misty Moonlight background. I added Basic White panels on the folds inside and out and Granny Apple Green die cut leaves for the front. The images were coloured in using my Stampin' Blends pens.

It has 3 folds (obviously as it's a triple) which meet just past the centre point and layers of DSP from the Delightfully Eclectic papers. I also coordinated it using the Countryside Corners dies, Sentiments Silhouettes and the Timeworn Type embossing folder to complete it.

Well, that's it from me for another week. Thank you once again for stopping by this week and I do hope that you have found some inspiration to make your own cards too. Until I return in after next week, Cary will be here to share some of her creations with you.

Until I return, please take care, stay safe but as always...

KEEP ON CRAFTING!

Lots of love and many thanks,

Fun Fold Friday - Adorable Owls

For my last card this week using the Adorable Owls stamp set, obviously I have made another of my go to favourite folds. This is made with 1 half piece of A4 card. I folded the card base (14.85cm by 21cm) in half at 10.5cm. I lightly pencilled the centre point on the bottom edge of the card at 14.4cm. The at each side on the front edge, I marked every 3.5cm. I then scored from the centre mark on the bottom edge to the edges on the centre fold creating the first V. I then repeated the actions from the edges at every 3.5cm to the bottom and finished them all. The scored marks were all folded back and forth on each side creating the V shape you see. I placed some tear n tape to the back of some of the folds to keep them crisp.

I used some of the papers from Tea Boutique  6" by 6" papers to match with the lovely Fresh Freesia card base. I stamped the 3 owls and coloured them in using the Stampin' Blends pens and die cut the 'circle' from the Painted Labels set of dies.

I finished off by adding sentiments once again from the Go To Greetings stamp set

Thank you for popping by this week, Cary will as always be back on Monday to share her creations.
I will be back the week after as always too so until then please

TAKE CARE, KEEP WELL, STAY SAFE

Watercoloour Wednesday - At The Pond

Hello again and thank you for stopping by. Today's watercolour I have cheated a little. We have a new range of Designer Series Papers called Fancy Flora and the sheet I chose reminds me so much of the Monet's bridge. So I have paired it with the At The Pond stamps. The cute little frogs are really gorgeous and I think the paper is perfect for the frogs too.

I did water colour some white paper by soaking it in water and then some watered down ink washed all over. Once it was dry, I stamped the images using the Saddle Brown Stazon Ink Pad. I think the brown looks more realistic against the black ink. I fussy cut all of the images out, yes, I know that I'm crazy but I find it very therapeutic and relaxing.

Make It Simple Monday - Go To Greetings

Welcome back to another very cold week here in the UK. We have had temperatures here of -6 and it has been extremely very cold! I don't like the cold at all! We had our Christmas dinner get together with many Stampin friends on Saturday and spent a lovely few hours eating, laughing and chatting. It was great. Now back to the blog. Today I am using the lovely ascriptive stamp set called Go To Greetings. It has 5 different phrases in 3 different fonts and sizes, it's really very pretty.

I have made a very simple card using some scraps of printed paper. I cut 4 pieces for each card. (yes, I made 2 cards this time). They are both very simple cards but just each one was made in a different direction. These papers are from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Papers.
