Make It Monday - Kits

Hello and welcome back. I hope that you have all been staying safe and well? Cary and I have just held our annual retreat. The difference this year is obviously, it was online! It was certainly a different way to hold the retreat but everyone had a really great time.

Following on from the retreat, this weekend just gone we held a small get together to make a kit. Not especially a class as the kits are amazing to use. This weekend was a very special one. It 's called Sweet Little Valentine Cards and More. With the cost at less than £10 it really is a bargain. Valentine? I hear you ask! What, at this time of year? No. Our aim was to make non Valentine cards and I think we all have. We made cards using the Valentine kit but larger! Using the cards and mats provided, we made our standard sized card which is C6. Basically that is half a sheet of A4 folded in half. The kit comes with cards and envelopes, which for our purpose this weekend some were cut in half or opened up, it is all very usable. The envelopes are basic white ones but the insides are either gold spots or gold stripes. Brilliant! You can just see them to the left of the top set of cards here.

Here is a picture of the kit itself.

I have used a selection of different stamp sets including the coordinating set called Valentine Keepsakes. In addition, I have used several of the Free Saleabration stamp sets and one or two others.

I've never yet found one of the Stampin' Up! kits that need a lot of thinking about. There is always so much in the main kits that you can make far more cards than the kit itself holds!
