Make it simple Monday Circle Sayings

 Happy Monday ! We took part in a fantastic community arts festival this last weekend. We helped over 60 children make father's day boxes with a packet of sweets inside, not sure how many sweeties made it to their intended recipients though 🤣. Crafting with children is always hectic but very rewarding.  So one of the stamps sets we used is the set that I'll be working with this week. Called Circle Sayings it's  a photopolymer set that has both fun images and sentiments.  (We did take a few happy father's day sentiments as well of course.)

So for my #simplestamping card I chose to use the adorable cupcake stamp. I stamped the cupcakes and the sentiment in black ink then coloured in with watercolour pencils.

 To help the cupcakes pop off the page I used a light blue pencil and lightly outlined each image . 

I then coloured each cupcake case in using to shades of each colour. The darker shade was used to add a little depth. I then added brown and yellow to make both chocolate and vanilla cakes.
