Happy Friday everyone 😁 today will be my last full day in New Orleans, ( I'm written this before I go 😉) it's been amazing I'm sure!! I'm very grateful for this amazing opportunity to visit such a vibrant unique city. So my inspiration for today's card comes from the idea of the bright colourful NOLA and works so well with the gorgeous Amazing Year.
The card starts life as a piece of 14.84cm x 21cm scored at 5.25cm, 10.5cm and 15.75cm. The scorelines are folded all as valley folds.
You will then need 2 pieces of coordinating cardstock. 1 measuring 2.5cm x 12.5cm scored at 1cm and 11.5cm both are folded as mountain folds. The second piece of cardstock measuring 2.5cm x 7.5cm, scored at 1.25cm, 2.5cm, 5cm and 6.25cm. These are folded as valley, mountain, mountain then valley.
In the picture below you can see where I've applied adhesive.

The long strip is placed just inside the first and last scorelines....
Next the wobble part. Make sure you fold the second strip as described and adhere adhesive as shown above. Now with the folds pushed together adhere it to the first strip using the center fold line as a guide for where to adhere. Where the folds meet should line up with the center scoreline of the card base.... here's apicture that will hopefully explain what I'm trying to say much better 🤪
The final part is to apply the wobble platform. Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 8cm x 8cm ( although any size that fits in the space should work 😉). Apply adhesive as shown below to the wobbler.
Then adhere the panel ....
And there you have it a gatefold card with a pop out wobbler surprise 🤩 Finger's crossed the pictures help 🤞 because that is it! All that is left is to decorate.
Now I chose to make my card base in a beautiful bold pink called melon mambo which coordinates beautiful with these fun papers.
I cut 6 strips of pattern paper that each measure 5cm x 14.4cm. I added them to the 4 inside panels ...
and the 2 that are the front of the card...
I also cut 2 panels in basic white measuring 5cm x 14.4cm which I adhered to the 2 panels that form the back of the card.
To hold the card closed I created a belly band from the same colour cardstock as the card base. It measures 3.5cm x 24cm and I folded it around the closed card before adhering the 2 ends together.
As you can see I have used the images from the
Amazing Year to decorate this fun card. It's a fun one for sure!!
